education

Videos, books, libraries, museums, google – all of these will help you learn about the world of the butterfly won’t they?

Visit us and see and learn first hand !!

Mother Nature has so much to teach us and we should take advantage of trips to places such as the butterfly house where we see nature up close and personal.

On your visit you will also learn the difference between moths and butterflies and between cocoons and chrysalises.  We all know how very important it is to care for our environment and the creatures around us.

TIP     Butterflies like bright colours such as red. So wear a colourful shirt and hat and you just might have a very close encounter with a butterfly.  Make sure you have your camera ready!!

By all means visit your library. You might even check out the website for the Butterflies and Other Invertebrates Club.   The MBRC, Moreton Bay Regional Council also has a booklet called ‘Living with the Environment – Butterflies of the Moreton Bay Region’.  Also see our interesting presentation.

And don’t forget google or your favourite search engine. Have fun!!
