FRIENDSHIP AND PURPOSE
Communities and families today are often fragmented and broken. We all need friends and a purpose in life don’t we? Loneliness, boredom, grief and separation are all too familiar in our lives.
Come to the Butterfly House. Volunteer with fellow travellers along life’s highway. Try it! Listen to the stories of our long term volunteers and be encouraged. Make new friends and find new purpose for your life. What better environment to ‘work’ in than amongst beautiful butterflies!

So much to learn, to enjoy, to feel! You’ll love your experience at the Bribie Island Butterfly House. Look through the big glass windows to see how the Breeding Laboratory works. Listen to our Flight Attendant explain and show you the incredible life cycle of the butterfly.
Feel the anticipation as you move through the special entrance tunnel and then marvel at the hundreds of fluttering butterflies and the colourful gardens and surprises as you journey through the Butterfly House! Let some ‘butterfly peace’ flow into your heart.

The Bribie Island Butterfly House exists to help our volunteers and visitors help others in extreme circumstances and unable to help themselves.

In our ‘global village’, there is an ever-present need to help ‘the extreme poor’ – people in terribly oppressive and degrading circumstances – families existing on just one meal a day, drinking dirty unsafe water, earning less than $2 a day and unable to break the poverty cycle. With much experience in this work, we’ve found it better to give a hand-up, and not a handout. People like the dignity of helping themselves.
As our charity funding-pool grows, we are also helping some people here in the Bribie area who find themselves in extreme circumstances outside of their control.
We are 100% run by volunteers and 100% of profits go to help the extreme poor. Please tell others about us and come again! We hope you enjoy your visit and we thank you so much for your support.
